Warren Breedon

Wendall (Warren) Roy Breedon, formerly of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Listowel, on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the age of 75.

Loving father of Tanya (Ken) Trow, Teena (Chad) Breedon and proud grandfather of Cassondra (Paul) Breedon.

Predeceased by his parents, Dorothy & Roy Breedon, sister Valerie & Gary Lebold, stepfathers, Stuart Herlick & Fred Berger.

Survived by his sisters Gloria & Stu Cooze/Brown, Glenna & Terry Sippel, Gwen & Glenn Roberts, Gayle & Peter Draper; half-brother Richard & Pauline Barnes; Herlick step-brothers Terry, Dave & Peggy, Tom & (late) Carolyn, Paul & Jane and Dan, as well as many nieces & nephews and their families.

Warren was born and raised in Stratford before moving to Shakespeare in 1952. Later, he headed west and after living in the Edmonton area, where his two daughters were born, settled in Surrey BC. Warren was a “car guy” his whole life, working for Man-Mac Transmissions where he was a transmission specialist with Red Seal Certification. Warren was a kidney transplant recipient and survivor. Warren moved back to Ontario in 2008, and was diagnosed with Dementia in 2020, which took control of his life very quickly.

A special thank you to the staff of Caressant Care Nursing Home, Listowel, for their care and concern of Warren during the time he resided there.

Cremation arrangements entrusted, with confidence, to Listowel Community Family Funeral Home in Listowel.

A “Service of Remembrance” will be held for family & friends at Avondale United Church, Stratford, on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 2 pm with Rev. Keith Reynolds officiating.
