Mrs. Dianna Martens

Mrs. Dianna Martens went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Brampton Civic Hospital at the age of 98. She lived in Listowel, Ontario for many years and spent the last 14 years at Holland Christian Homes in Brampton in her own apartment.

Born February 18, 1925 in Leuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands. Married February 12, 1947 in Gaast, Friesland to Johannes Martens.

Predeceased by her husband Johannes (John) Martens and her parents Sipke & Bakke Bakker, as well as infant daughter Patricia, daughter-in-law Christine & five siblings.

She loved her family and friends & is survived by her four children; Henry Martens of Toronto, Sylvia Ellens (Martens) and Horace Ellens of Bobcaygeon, Bernice DeBoer Marks (Martens) and Robert Marks of California, Theodore Martens and Kathleen Hankey (friend) of Etobicoke, 12 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren & sister Bakke Bakker Cupido of Edmonton.

Celebration of Life will be held in Listowel, Ontario at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church on Monday, June 19, 2023 at 11 am with Pastor David Tigchelaar officiating. Visitation will commence at 10 am prior to the service.
