William Rae Bell of Listowel - Age 85

William Rae Bell of Listowel passed away early Sunday morning on the 14th of October 2018 at Fordwich Village Nursing Home in his 86th year.
Rae was born at the family farm in Maryborough township on June 30th, 1933 to his parents, Harold Bell (deceased in 1958) and Bertha Bell, nee Cummings (deceased in 1981).
He was a kind and generous father who is survived by his children and their spouses: Ruth Bell Asselin and Henri, David Bell and Janice (Klumpenhower), Carol Beattie and Craig, John Bell and Val (Tilley), Grace Grieve and Dave.
He was a proud grandfather of Liam Beattie, Meagan Beattie, David Grieve, Catherine Beattie, John Grieve, Daniel Bell, Jack Beattie, Benjamin Bell, Samuel Bell.
A loyal big brother to Frances Ingram and Lorne (predeceased in 2018), Iola Subject and John, Victor Bell and Dorothy, Leora Graw and Larry.
Rae is also survived by the mother of his children, Mary Bell (nee Ducklow); they were married from 1960 until 1978.
He will be fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews, two aunts (Mrs. Audrey Cummings and Mrs. Ruth Cummings) and many, many cousins.
There will be a celebration of life service held at Listowel Bible Chapel, 545 Blake Street East in Listowel, on Saturday, October 20th, 2018 at 1:00pm.
A private family interment to follow.

Rae’s entire family would like to express deep gratitude for the loving care provided to him by the staff of Fordwich Village Nursing Home. We are so grateful for the way you adopted him as family. We saw, heard and sensed how many of you loved him and we thank you so very much!
