Mr. Gerald Scott

Surrounded by his family, Gerald Michael Scott, formerly of Listowel, passed away at Huronlea in Brussels, on Sunday, February 10, 2019, in his 93rd year.

Beloved husband of Dorothea (Park) Scott for 66 years.

Loved father of Judy & Rodger Shulist and Steven & Caryn (Dunfield) Scott.

Lovingly remembered by grandchildren; Desiree & Corey Hinsperger, Michael Scott & Lauren Myers and Claire Scott, as well as great-grandchildren, Riley & Addison Hinsperger and many loved nieces & nephews.

Dear brother of Eileen Downey and brother-in-law of David & Grace Park, Mary Ostrowski, Barbara McClement and Bill Leppard.

Predeceased by his parents, Edward & Lavina Scott, siblings; Elmer, Margaret & James and brothers-in-laws, Carl & Edwin, parents-in-law, Robert & Eunice Park, sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Ralph, Steve & Mary, Jack & Marie, Margery Leppard, Fraser McClement and Al Ostrowski.

Gerald was proud of his family. He cherished the times he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In fact, his own son Steven and his grandson Michael, were both born on Gerald’s birthday exactly 33 years apart. The Point Clark cottage was the sanctuary for the family. Gerald would drive back and forth to work from the cottage during the summer so he could be together with his loving wife Dorothy.

A family service will be held at the Listowel Community Family Funeral Home, Wallace Ave. N. at Fairlane Rd. (Golf Course Rd.), Listowel on Saturday, February 16, 2019, with Rev. Jeff Hawkins officiating. Cremation with spring interment Elma Centre Cemetery.
