It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Barry Lorne Newbigging at his home at RR1 Listowel on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, in his 74th year.
Dearly loved by his devoted wife Kathryn (Thompson) Newbigging and his four children, Pat Newbigging, Tom (Tina) Newbigging, Colleen (Rob) Neves and Dan Newbigging.
Grandfather to Alex, Bobbie (Jessie), Jessica and Susanna, Julia, Peter and Andrew, Ali (Zack), Luis and Isiah. Great-grandfather to Iris. Survived by his sister Delores Culbert. Brother-in-law to Wayne and Ruth Thompson and Sharon Thompson. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Greatly missed by all his various farm animals and pets.
Barry was the beloved son of the late Lorne and Susanna (Mayberry) Newbigging of Listowel, son-in-law of the late Stanley and Alexia Thompson. Predeceased by brothers Clarence (Gladys) Newbigging and Del Newbigging.
Cremation arrangements entrusted to the Listowel Community Family Funeral Home in Listowel. A memorial visitation will be held at the funeral home, Wallace Ave. N. at Fairlane Rd. Listowel, on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 2 – 4 pm & 6 – 8 pm. Service for family & friends will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church in Listowel on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11 am. officiated by Rev. Donald P. McCallum.
Memorial remembrances to Knox Presbyterian Church or Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation are appreciated.
