With profound sadness we announce the passing of Gladys Forbes, our loving mother, and dear friend to all those whose lives she touched. She passed peacefully March 10th, 2020, in her 89th year. Born July 19, 1931, in Seaforth Ontario to Edna and Bill Hopper.
She was the beloved mother to Kevin (Sue) Forbes and Laurie (Graeme) Medley. Proud Grandmother to Ashley (Sam) Dawkins and Jesse (Lauren) Forbes and Tara and Tyler Sweeney. Great-Grandmother to Hudson and Ryder Forbes.
Predeceased by her husband Kenneth Forbes and brothers Neil, Jim, and Durl. Survived by her sister Luella Nuhn.
She lived a good full life. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She loved gardening, (especially her hostas) and enjoyed playing cards and travelling to her favourite spot in Florida. She was strong, determined, and always happy, she never quit smiling. Anyone who knew her enjoyed her easy conversation and positive way.
She loved her God Jehovah and was proud of her family for following him closely. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Her memorial will be announced at a later date to family and friends. Thank you for your well wishes and loving concern. In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy, donations to the world wide work of Jehovah’s Witnesses via – "donate.jw.org" would be appreciated.
Unfortunately the Covid-19 restrictions on large gatherings show no sign of being lifted soon. The family has therefore decided to proceed with an on-line memorial service using the Zoom platform.
