David Hartung

David Albert Hartung of Palmerston passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital onOctober 3, 2023, in his 88 th year. Predeceased by his wife Margaret (Potts) Hartung in 1987.

Beloved partner of Lillian (Lil) Henry. Proud father of Kathy Deniet of Burks Falls, Karen & Bevin Brooks of Listowel, Wayne Schnittker of Hanover, 13 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren.

Also remembered by Lil’s family, Rhonda & Don Bristowe, John & Brenda Henry, Leesa & Dave Rintoul & families.

Survived also by brother Wayne Hartung & sisters-in-law Joan Hartung & Inez Hartung, as well as many nieces, nephews & friends.

Predeceased by daughter Brenda Schnittker (2017), infant son, sisters & brothers-in-law, Mildred & Harvey Hammond, Gerald & Lorraine Hartung, Dorothy & Ted Rieck, Delton Hartung, John & Ardith Hartung, Laverne & Joyce Hartung, Ken Hartung, Lyle Hartung & Shirley Hartung.

Visitation @ Listowel Community Family Funeral Home, on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm.

Funeral service to be held at Zion United Church, Wallace Township, on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 11 am. with Rev. Brian Hymers officiating. Interment in Zion United Church Cemetery.
